Cascades Indoor Waterpark

As this is an indoor water park, it can't compare to an outdoor facility. The square footage is used to pack in lots of of family fun though. My 13 and 11 year old daughters (with a friend each) spent 5 hours enjoying themselves. There was even an outdoor pool that was open, and they thought that it was pretty neat to be swimming outside when it was 20°F. The snack bar served pizza, etc. that was good. The prices are a bit high, but not unexpected. All of the staff was friendly. There were quite a few lifeguards, and when my kids got out of my sight, I still considered them safe. It is a nice place to let your kids have some fun, without them staring at a screen. One piece of advice. If you have some kind of ear plugs, bring them. The sound reverberates off all of the hard surfaces. It is loud. Also, dress in short sleeves. It is warm and humid. Have fun!

This water park is a good place to spend a day. While it isn't incredibly large, and most of the slides are only open to those under 130 lbs, and under 18, it does have some interesting attractions, such as the hot tub and the heated pool that are outdoors and available year round, accessible from inside. The park does need some maintenance, however, and some smaller attractions were disabled but remain standing, making them kind of an eye sore and a disappointment. I believe the hotel the park is contained in, Hope Lake Lodge, was experiencing financial difficulties recently, which shows in the overall quality of the food, drinks and attractions. Hopefully, they can get back on their feet and make Cascades and Hope Lake Lodge a great place, as it was upon opening.
