I went to Anthony's Jewelers today to replace the battery on my Sector dive watch. When I went swimming an hour later, the face was all foggy from internal precipitation. I returned and they said that they did not remove the face, so therefore they did not cause the problem. As if moisture could only enter from one side. They opened it again and I was told they replace the seal. When I got home, the watch didn't work at all, So I went back a third time. The elderly woman, who messed up the job the first time, practically snatched the watch from my hand. Apparently, they never pushed the pin back in the second time and that was somehow my fault for not noticing. Other "jewelers" have not sealed my watch correctly in the past as it is a deep dive watch, but I have never experience so much arrogance from their incompetence. The problem was not the mistake they made, but way they made me feel like a liar trying to steal some petty service from them. What a horrible way to treat their customers. No apology, no smile or appreciation for the business. I am glad this took place though, because I've been saving for an engagement ring that could have been a very expensive loss, had anything gone wrong with the sizing or securing the stones. Stay clear if only out of principle.
