Safe school with generally accessible teachers and guidance staff. Each grade has two teams of teachers separating the student population into two homogeneous groups. The goal is to create a more intimate relationship btw the students, parents, and teachers than can be achieved in one large group. This school is especially good for children who qualify for accelerated math and English programs as high achieving kids will typically move together in all classes due to scheduling constraints. Can be frustrating for 504 plan kids and their parents because this category of special education students is not treated very seriously. A new Special Ed PTA is addressing this issue.
