I would like to share an experience that I had with Blue Pearl in Forest Hills. Yea, while all of the comments of being a "pricey" establishment is true - you have to realize that this is a 24 hour - round the clock - hospital. HOSPITAL. It is not a mom and pa shop. They charge what they charge and they are very upfront with their prices. YOU can choose to stay and have your pet treated or NOT. The Staff: I cant say anything bad about anyone there. From the Vet Techs to the Vet. I felt that they are compassionate and very committed to giving the best possible care to the animals they treat. We brought our 7 year old Bull Mastiff in on Tuesday Night and they quickly diagnosed him with Kidney failure. After keeping our beloved over night on IV treatment, the vet stayed with us to explain our very minimal options and never rushed us when we decided that it was "that time" for him. The crew ave us plenty of time and space to say our goodbyes and I saw how choked up they got when the final moments approached. I feel that anyone who is takes their pet there will get an honest answer and in the end that is what we wanted. Thank you Blue Pearl. Our Buddy will forever remain in our hearts and I thank you for helping us to make a very hard decision a little bit easier.
