Clarkstown Pharmacy

I used to use this pharmacy exclusively for several years.. but then health and lifestyle changes took me out of the county for some time. About 3-4 weeks ago i went back and the first person i saw when i walked through the door was a man named Robert. He's the head honcho over there and he is truly a kind beautiful soul. Years ago, he and other employees, both in store and pharmacy, held my hand during the beginning of stages of a life changing diagnosis that i had recieved. I was put on heavy doses of many different medications and so i was at this pharmacy as much as every other day at times. I had seen Robert and said hello to him a thousand times, but there was one specific evening that i will never forget. I had started to have very debilitating side effects to some of the heavier medications that i was on, and so i was given more heavy medications to assist with managing those side effects. I walked into the pharmacy looking like death.. feeling like death.. and attempted to pick up two prescriptions. One was a medication that stopped vomiting and the other was a heavy painkiller. When i got to the counter, Robert informed me that my insurance company was refusing to pay for either of them because they had potential negative interactions with other medications that i was taking. I asked how much they would cost and the price was too high for me to possibly afford. For one of the very first times that i allowed myself to accept reality for a hundreth of a second, tears ran down my face and i looked at Robert and said "i am going to die. Im actually going to die. Im twenty six years old." A few hugs later, i was walking out of the store with the maximum quantities of both prescriptions. This store ate the enormous costs of my medications so that i was able to go home and eat something that i was able to keep down. Flash forward two years. I walked into the store for the first time in about a year and the very first face i saw was Robert's. I wasnt sure if he would remember me, but within a few moments of making eye contact i was telling him about my miracle recovery and showing off pictures of my breathtakingly beautiful daughter who i was blessed to give birth to because of that recovery. It was not just Robert who remembered me either. Now as soon as i walk in the door im getting the pictures ready to show everyone! Ive never left a review for anything before.. (seriously i swear lol) let alone poured my personal life details onto the internet for a bunch of strangers to see... But this place is so much more then a store or a pharmacy... the kindness that they treat their patrons with is just absolutely unparalled. Plus they fill prescriptions in under 10 minutes (seriously lol) Hope this review helps somehow :) thanks guys!!
