WestHouse Hotel New York

We were upgraded to this hotel for free by lottery process. We booked a double queen room at the Park Central Hotel, and when we checked in the lady told us we were selected to be upgraded. It was nice because our room at Park Central had no included breakfast or anything, and this room was inclusive of breakfast and "Light Dinner/drinks" We went only once to breakfast, and it was granola, fruit, pastries, croissants, and yogurt. I think the next day it was hot - maybe scrambled eggs and sausage or something because i saw the heated servers sitting on the counter after. We also only made it to dinner once and they were offering breads with sliced meats, salad with mozzarella and tomatoes, different wines and champagnes, and two types of beer...Stella Artois and I think an IPA. Overall the hotel was nice, the staff was great. Negatives: 1) I thought it a bit strange there was no room service 2) our sink only ran HOT and COLD. There was no in-between. 3) Some of the details of the room made it look like it was cheaply done. One of the outlets barely fit our cords (took two of us several minutes each to finally get the plug to fit), One of the outlets was completely hanging out of the wall, and there were some other details that i noticed where it looked like bad workmanship by the workers putting the rooms together. Overall I am very happy with our stay given the free upgrade. I think if i came back with my kids, i would definitely consider staying again because i could save a lot of money on meals. I do wish they had better vegetarian selections though.
