I go to Hunan Taste frequently for lunch and dinner. Hunan Taste has the best Chinese food on Long Island and the quality is consistent every time.
They have the best crispy noodles made in-house and it's worth going just for the noodles (on the table when you sit down).
Their hot and sour soup is the best I have had. I love their chicken and broccoli. Their broccoli is consistently the best and properly cooked. If you're looking for an excellent meat dish, try the Golden Medallions which is cut up filet mignon with broccoli.
If you're looking for a great deal, try the lunch menu which ends at 2:45 PM. I go here for lunch frequently. Friday and Saturday nights tend to be crowded.
While I think this is the best Chinese restaurant on LI, I do not like the takeout and other people I know have said the same thing. I don't know why the takeout is not the same although if I don't finish my meal and bring it home, it's fine.
