$800.00 to get my 20 lb dog spayed. A very common surgery most vets do it for under $500. When I asked why they charge so much, I was told that adult dogs need more attention. I wonder how they treat younger dogs. The surgery went well, according to them. But the cut wasn't fully stitched. They left a little hole. I told them there was liquid coming off of it. The Dr. put surgical glue over it, but that didn't stop the liquid dripping off the hole. Then they told me they have to "cut her open again, so bring her back in 2 days, because we have other things to do" until then. On our last visit (for a re check) after the second surgery, we were told not to bathe the dog for a whole month. Clearly these people don't know what they are doing, and don't care. They totally forgot the extra money I gave them for the extra "attention". Or they charged me more knowing they were going to mess up the first time, and need 2 surgeries. They never apologized.
