I was so excited when the Parkview opened here, and my initial dining experience was a good one. The kids and I had burgers and they were delicious. The fries were great too. However, this has happened before with the various establishments that have opened in Wallkill. The food is good in the beginning, and then the quality deteriorates rapidly. My sister and I had dinner at the Parkview in February, and she ordered the pulled pork. We were back in April and she ordered the same dish. She wasn’t able to finish it, it was that bad. We made a comment to our server, a very friendly competent young man, and he returned to explain they had just lost four cooks, and were shorthanded in the kitchen. If the Parkview manages to stay in business I am sure it will be on the strength of the bar, the great set up they have, and the friendliness of the staff. However, they need to concentrate more on hiring qualified chefs - which can be accomplished by offering a higher rate of pay - to offer their dining patrons a more consistent, better quality of food.

This place has been open for awhile now and think it's an overall nice to dine at. The food we had was well done and our waitress did a great job. They also have live music as well in the bar on the other side of the dining room
